Wedding Update #1

Hey y'all! Okay, now that things have settled down with Marie & Bella's little arguement, I've decided to start this blog! I also wanted to inform most of my family and close friends first :) So Now I'll update it with stuff going on with the wedding, and maybe other random stuff I encounter throughout these months before our wedding on 11.12.13 in Boerne, Tx.

For My Bridal Party Gal's & Mom & Grandma, I'll be posting stuff I'm working on for the wedding. Ideas, decorations aka Pinterest ideas, random stuff that's going on with us & the pups, and hopefully y'all can comment back to me with input or just to say Heyyyy and what's going on with y'all! It's a little more cozy than Facebook :)

Friends & Family, I'll take all the help I can get. This can keep you all up to date on what's going on.

This is what I know so far:
 

I want to have a Rustic-Country-Vintage-Wedding Style.

Hopefully you know what that means lol. Like mason jars, burlap, pretty flowers, wine bottles with lights, etc. I'd like to make the majority of the decorations.

The color theme I'm leaning towards is aqua/turqouise/teal-ish & coral/pink/orange-ish.

 

 

Dress: I'm not quite sure, I have an idea but that's a whole other post lol I don't want a huge wedding dress, I want it to be mermaid style, with a halter-sweetheart neckline. So we'll see...

Bridesmaid's Dresses: If y'all have any ideas PLEASE let me know!


It is in the Hill Country of Boerne, Tx (near San Antonio). BEAUTIFUL views of the hills from from where we are having the wedding. Y'all will love it. It is going to be an outside wedding, but we are looking into getting a big tent set up in case of adverse weather or if it's too windy. It will be November and usually it's not too hot or too cold in that area. Hoping for good weather.

YES, it is on a Tuesday. Weird/Different. BUT it's what we really wanted and it's the date we ended up with! (*if y'all know the cute story of how we picked the date and place you know what i'm talking about :), maybe i'll put that story in another post*)

The reception & wedding ceremony are going to be at the same place. Not sure on the time.

Guests: We are thinking around 100 guests, BUT we haven't even come close to finishing our list. So we'll see, and we're trying to figure how many people this place will hold.

We kinda wanted to make a weekend of it, Since it's on a Tuesday. The location we're having it at is a Tres's family members house *thankfully they are opening their home up to us to use for our wedding/reception*, with tons of space, an outdoor covered patio/bar/dining area. With a pool & jacuzzi. (I'll post pics later)

I was thinking my BRIDAL PARTY can stay there at the Guest House and hang out all weekend. If y'all have to leave to SA to go to work for a few hours or whatever and come back that's cool. It's not too far. But no drinking & driving!! The wedding night y'all can stay also, and others can get hotels nearby. But our close friends& family we want to stay as close as possible :)

And last of all, I just want us to all HAVE FUN! Tres & I both agree, yes, it's about us getting married, but it's also ALL about us having a good time with our friends & family and celebrating all of our BLESSINGS.
